Rev Dr Crispin Fletcher-Louis (Principal)

Crispin studied at Oxford as an undergraduate and also as a post-graduate, writing a dissertation on angelology in Luke and Acts. He has taught at King’s College London, Durham and Nottingham Universities and has published widely in the areas of New Testament studies and the historical context of earliest Christianity. In 2004 he became Resident Theologian at St Mary’s Bryanston Square, and in 2006 helped establish WTC. As part of WTC’s continued growth he moved to Cheltenham in 2009 along with the team to establish a new Hub and relocate WTC’s main office. He has been in active church leadership for twenty years and is married to Mary, with two children Emily and Reuben.


Dr Lucy Peppiatt (Dean of Studies)

Lucy leads two churches in Bristol with her husband Nick. She has also worked with churches in Twickenham, Harare and Sheffield. Lucy is a systematic theologian and commpleted a thesis on the role of the Holy Spirit in redemption and mission. As well as teaching doctrine and systematic theology, Lucy oversees the academic life of WTC in her role as Dean of Studies and she is also writing a book on discipleship.


Dr Rob Barrett

Rob teaches Old Testament theology. He studied theology in Vancouver, Canada before writing a doctorate on Political Theology in Deuteronomy. He now works in Germany where he is researching Isaiah. He previously worked for IBM and is passionate about bringing theological education into the wider Church.

 

 


 

Jenny Campbell

Jenny teaches doctrine and has previously worked as a school teacher, pastoral assistant, and college tutor. Jenny now leads Eaglesinflight, a network of Christian leaders committed to the empowerment of the prophetic in the Church in Western Europe. 

 


 

Rev Dr Chuck Coker

Chuck teaches Personal Formation with WTC and lives in Florida, USA. He is passionate about helping people understand who they were created to be and in exercising their giftings in the life place. He has Olympic medals in Taekwondo and founded a martial arts outreach ministry.

 


Dr Tony Cummins

Tony teaches on the writings of Paul, having completed his doctorate on martyrdom and Galatians under N.T. Wright in Oxford. He now lectures in Biblical Studies at Trinity Western University, Canada in the areas of the Gospels, Paul and the theological interpretation of scripture.

 


 

Rev Dr Bob Ekblad

Bob is a theologian and missionary. He has spent 25 years in international mission and is particularly passionate about working with the poor and ethnic minorities, as well as teaching on Mission and Old Testament, Bob is an international speaker and has authored three books. He founded the Tierra Nueva outreach ministry which ministers to prisoners and runs a social coffee farming project.

 


 

Dr Peter Fitch

Peter teaches Spirituality in Church History and is based at St Stephen’s University, a small Christian university in Canada with strong connections to both New Wine and the Vineyard movement. He also co-leads St Croix Vineyard Church in St Stephen. Peter is passionate about bringing to life the riches of early Christian writings and applying the lessons they give us to our lives today.

 


 

Revd Chris Pemberton

Chris was the vicar of St Mary Bredin in Canterbury until 2009, at which point he began working as the New Wine Training Director. He teaches Leadership and Ministry and is also part of the New Wine leadership team. Chris has worked in marketing in London for Dunlop Holdings, as a university chaplain and taught at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.

 


Dr Walter Thiessen

Walter teaches Pastoral Theology at St Stephen’s University, Canada. His areas of expertise are in theology, psychology and counselling. As well as being on the leadership team of his local Vineyard church he has also worked as a counsellor, specialising in marriage and the family.

 


Experienced local church leaders will also contribute to leadership and personal formation training.
