Theme: Suffering and the Book of Job
In this Kingdom Theology Event, we will join with Matt Lynch to explore the fascinating and troubling book of Job. We will learn about the book’s surprising challenge to traditional thinking, and the ways Job can help us grapple with personal and global suffering. Job challenges us to search for God in the darkness, fight for justice, and resist easy answers. The event will include opportunities to reflect on God’s relationship to suffering, our relationship to those who suffer, and our own experiences. Ultimately, the goal of the event is to think with Job about what it means to encounter God when the world falls apart.
Speaker: Dr Matthew Lynch
