How are the courses taught?

Course Delivery

Teaching is delivered in three ways:

  1. 5-day residential teaching blocks (September and February) where WTC Faculty and students from all Hubs meet to study and worship together.
  2. Weekly teaching via web-based presentation delivered from the WTC Faculty into the local Hub during six 4-week blocks.
  3. Face-to-face teaching by local tutors sharing practical skills and experience applicable to the local Hub context.

The residential teaching blocks provide an opportunity for all students to come together, and to meet the faculty. The weeks include academic classroom time, practical training from specialists and the opportunity to grow with others from across all the Hubs in the context of ministry and worship.

Most of the time students attend the course as part of a group based in a Hub.  Hubs meet on  either Monday or Tuesday evenings where students have a combination of recorded lectures, interactive seminars for each Hub with a faculty member and times for worship and prayer with the other students in your Hub.

Each Hub also arranges face-to-face teaching for their students from local tutors.  This enables each Hub to carry it's own distinctive teaching appropriate for the context in which the Hub is based.
