The Hampshire Hub began in 2009. It is a large thriving Hub based at Christ Church in Winchester which has great facilities for our students to use. Our heart is to see that every Christian in this region has access to quality theological education that they can engage with whilst remaining in their existing life space. Our students are from multiple streams and denominations and of varying ages, socio-economic groups and backgrounds all coming together to learn in the context of a missional, worshipping community.
Seeing people equipped to be fully who they are; able to fully engage with their calling and moving into a deeper and more purposeful intimacy with Jesus is what makes our hearts sing. Working with real questions and real life challenges but with wisdom from the Holy Spirit and theological rigour is a dynamic combination that is extremely exciting.
The Hampshire Hub meets on a Monday evening between 6 and 10pm.
Sue Higgins is our Hub Director in Hampshire. She has 3 children and worships at Christ Church, home of the Hampshire Hub. Previously Sue’s main role was with a Software House, where she Managed New Business Development and Product Training for their Lawyer clients. She continues to work on a consultancy basis. In her previous church Sue was responsible for the direction of Worship, with a heart for nurturing intimacy in gathered worship, and encouraging prophetic gifting to flow. She has a passion to encourage others to grasp their spiritual authority, and walk in it, in pursuit of the calling to advance the Kingdom. Originally from the Lake District, Sue loves to head back to old stomping grounds such as Borrowdale, Lorton and Buttermere and her top favourite fell – Haystacks. She has a Performing Arts degree in Popular Music, speaks conversational Spanish, and when she’s being good about exercise, likes to cycle and swim.
Accessibility: We use the first floor of the building the Hub meets in and there is currently no lift access. Should you have a disability that would mean this is problematic for you, please do get in touch so that we can make adequate provision on the ground floor.
