We are delighted to announce the appointment of Laurence Singlehurst as Westminster Theological Centre’s new Chair of the Board of Trustees. Laurence brings a wealth of experience to WTC. He served YWAM for more than a decade as their National Director, has held various board positions in organisations such as Fusion UK, Beyond the Streets, Cell UK and Hope, and has authored in excess of 20 books, most notably ‘Sowing Reaping Keeping: People Sensitive Evangelism.’ We are excited that Laurence will now bring this considerable expertise to the next stage of WTCs development. Laurence will take up his role with effect from the next Board meeting in March, at which point the ad interim Chair, Chris Gillies, will resume the role of Deputy Chair.
Lucy Peppiatt, Principal of WTC comments:
‘I am thrilled that Laurence has agreed to take up the position of Chair of Trustees at WTC. Not only does he bring with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, but his heart for mission and discipleship is clear from everything he chooses to be involved in, and we are excited about what this will mean for WTC. As well as being deeply rooted in the church, he brings a refreshing realism and honesty in the way that he approaches the Christian life, and we’re all looking forward very much to working with him over the next few years.’
Laurence Singlehurst writes:
‘I am delighted to be appointed as Chair of The Board of Trustees for Westminster Theological Centre because this unique form of training empowers men and women for their everyday lives and ministries. Ordinary church members are taking the initiative to equip themselves and I am delighted to be a part of the WTC family in seeking to serve at this time.’
