ASSISTANT REGISTRAR

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Westminster Theological Centre (WTC) (wtctheology.org.uk) as Assistant Registrar. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the college’s operations, supporting students from their first inquiry all the way through to graduation. The role will suit someone who has a genuine love of detail, is highly organised, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where they can take initiative and make a real difference.
The Assistant Registrar will report to the Senior Registrar as a key member of the Registry Team, which oversees the administrative running of the college. They will work closely with the Registry and Academic Teams, as well as with students, staff, Hub Directors, Faculty and WTC”s validating partner, Birmingham Newman University.
Day to day, the Assistant Registrar will support all stages of the student journey, from initial enquiry and application right through to programme completion. They will maintain student, Faculty and module records, act as the main administrative point of contact for the college’s learning platform (Moodle), and play a key role in preparing for Assessment Boards and annual Residential weeks. The role also carries responsibility for the college library, including keeping the library system up to date, purchasing books and ebooks, managing digital licences, and ensuring copyright compliance. There is plenty of variety, and specific duties will develop over time in line with your experience and the needs of the college.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and detail focused, with the ability to take initiative as needed. Strong IT skills are important, as is a ‘can do’ attitude. WTC staff team is small and hard working, with a strong and positive team culture. We all adhere to the college’s mission and values.
This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week), though we are open to alternative arrangements. If you are the right person for the role but are looking for part-time hours or a job share, we would still like to hear from you. The role attracts a salary of £31,000-£36,500 (FTE) per year depending on experience and qualifications, together with access to a pension scheme. Annual holiday allowance is 25 days per calendar year plus bank holidays.
The role is based at WTC’s offices in Cheltenham. Occasional remote working may be granted upon request in exceptional circumstances. The role requires full attendance at both annual Residential weeks (early September and early January).

WTC is stepping into a fresh and exciting period of growth, and we’re looking to welcome new trustees who will help us to lead and develop the organisation. As our community expands, we’re seeking people who carry deep spiritual discernment and a heartfelt passion for theological formation — women and men who feel called to help nurture a movement shaped by Kingdom Theology across the UK and beyond.
This is an unpaid voluntary position. Reasonable expenses are reimbursed.

As part of a skilled and dedicated team of Trustees, you’ll help steward our vision, be part of discerning and shaping future strategy in partnership with the senior leadership team, make sure we’re working in a wise and sustainable way, and commit to pray for the college and the staff team regularly.
In line with the highly collaborative nature of the college, trustees will continue to help foster partnership and collaboration within the college and with external churches and organisations. You’ll bring your unique skills, experience, and faith journey to our mission, enriching the leadership of the college with your expertise, networks, perspective, and prayer. As such, you’ll participate in an integrated team, who shares the work jointly.
Trustees are expected to attend four board meetings per year, and also to participate in the life of the WTC between board meetings, particularly through prayer or local events. Trustee meetings are usually held in March (away day with overnight), June (online), October (in-person), and December (in-person). Trustees are also welcome and encouraged to attend some or all of our bi-annual residentials in September and January.
Trustees will also participate in a committee within the board to provide more specific oversight and direction of various areas of the college. These committees include: finance; governance and compliance; fundraising; appointments and remuneration; and equality, diversity, and inclusion

We’re keen to recruit trustees who can bring a prophetic voice, offering spiritual discernment, courage, and wisdom as we seek to serve the church in this changing cultural moment.
Our goal is to represent the body of Christ holistically, so we’re interested in applications from all ages, church traditions, and national backgrounds. As such, we are not only looking for those with experience at the most senior levels.
A central requirement of the role is a resonance with the Missional Values that undergird WTC. These values shape the DNA of WTC, and Trustees will continually call us back to embody these in all our activities.
