The Hampshire Hub was one of the first three WTC Hubs, founded in 2009 and based in Winchester. After eleven years, this large and thriving Hub is relocating to Southampton, hosted jointly by New Community Church and Portswood Church, where the leadership teams both include WTC alumni. The Hub meets at Portswood Church.
Both Hub Churches are committed to offering Christians in this region access to quality theological education, delivered in a way in which students can study around their existing commitments. Southampton Hub students are from a variety of streams and denominations and of varying ages, with different life experiences.
They have a common desire to understand who they are in Christ and to engage fully with their calling, while moving into a deeper and more purposeful intimacy with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit – all of which is life-changing.
The Southampton Hub meets on Monday evenings between 6pm and 10pm.
Hi, I am Rich, Hub Director for Southampton. I’ve always been passionate about the local church and grew up as part of Arun Community Church in Littlehampton. As a church we had a strong emphasis on the worship and the spirit and I loved growing up in the 90’s engaging in all that God was doing.
I started my journey with WTC by studying the Graduate Diploma after wanting to know the Bible beyond a surface level. I’m now doing my MA with WTC. The experience has been life changing and it’s now my great privilege to be a part of the team that gets to facilitate such an amazing resource, in a way that I am deeply passionate about – combining deep theology with a desire for living and active encounter with Jesus.
I’d love to have a chat with you if you’re thinking about studying or would just like to know a bit more.
