The college was established in Central London in 2006 at St Mary’s Church, Bryanston Square, as Westminster Theological Centre.

Today we are simply known as 'WTC'.

Our 3 Main Focus Areas:

Transforming people through life-giving theology in the presence and power of the Spirit

  • Constantly pursuing rigorous and engaging academic study of theology
  • Inviting the Holy Spirit to inhabit all that we do
  • Teaching faculty integrating theology for life, work and mission

Reimagining learning in community

  • Innovative, part-time model of learning which fits with existing life/work/commitments
  • Multiple learning centres (Hubs) around the country
  • Empowering students through pastoral care, prayer and study skills support

Partnering with the church to equip and send the whole people of God

  • Accessible (leaders and laity, women and men, all ages (18 and over), different educational standards)
  • Interdenominational and charismatic
  • Programmes delivered in partnership with churches and Christian networks

This quote by Murray Rae captures the essence of what we do really well:

"By ‘theology’ we mean … the intellectual discipline of asking who God is and what the world is like in the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and consequently how we should live before God in the world. Theology is the hard intellectual work of asking what it means to believe that in Jesus Christ - God the Son walked among us as one of us, died for our sins, rose again on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, sent his Spirit upon the church, and will return one day to bring in his kingdom.

If this story is true then it changes everything. Theology is the task of exploring that change."
