WTC Hubs

We deliver our programmes throughout the UK in learning and worshipping communities at various Hub locations.

The Manchester Hub meets on Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

“Over the years, Ivy’s involvement with WTC has helped catalyse and sustain a leadership culture to train our church leaders, church planters and world changers for the Kingdom. Some of our best leaders in our church are the ones who have studied with WTC, and that is a massive benefit to us.”

Lead Pastor, Ivy Church, Manchester

Ivy Church PartnersThe Manchester Hub is a great Hub, hosted by Ivy Church and meeting at Ladybridge Connect in Cheadle. Ivy is a church that seeks to empower people to serve effectively wherever God places them and they are always prepared to think outside the box and look at different ways of achieving this. We’ve already seen the impact of WTC programmes on many people in the region and are excited that Ivy have made this their training of choice for their leaders and believe it is ideal for absolutely anyone seeking to go deeper with God.

The Hub currently has students from a wide variety of backgrounds working in churches, hospitals, education, business or retired. They come from all over the North West: Liverpool to Sheffield and Stoke to Leeds! We look forward to welcoming more students to become part of this vibrant learning community.

Gav Lightbown

Hi there, I’m Gav, the Manchester Hub Director. I live in Cheadle with my wife, Amanda, and our four boys.

I’m someone who has come to love God’s word not through formal theological training, but through seeing first-hand how powerfully it speaks into real life. My own faith has been shaped by His Word and the transformation it brings; by walking through both ordinary and difficult seasons, and discovering how deeply God meets us in them.

Over recent years, I’ve seen how engaging with Scripture can bring clarity, hope, challenge, and transformation, and that has left me with a real desire to walk alongside others as they go deeper with God and His Word. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel supported, encouraged, and able to explore faith honestly. I don’t see my role as having all the answers, but as journeying with students as they grow, ask questions, and discover how God is at work in their lives through His word.

My hope for the Manchester Hub is that it will be a welcoming, grounded, and relational community; a place where people can deepen their relationship with God, learn together, and be supported as they respond to what God is doing in them.

Whether you’re new to theological study or simply wanting to explore your faith more deeply, you’d be very welcome at the Manchester Hub. I’d love to walk alongside you on that journey.
