The Hampshire Hub began in 2009 and today it is a large thriving Hub based at Christ Church in Winchester. The Hub is equipped with great facilities for our students to use. Our heart is to see that every Christian in this region has access to quality theological education so that they can engage with whilst remaining in their existing life space. Students in our Hub are from multiple streams and denominations and of varying ages, socio-economic groups and backgrounds all coming together to learn in the context of a missional, worshipping community.
We see our students being equipped to be fully who they are and to fully engage with their calling, while moving into a deeper and more purposeful intimacy with Jesus is what makes us excited. We work with real questions and real life challenges, but wisdom from the Holy Spirit and theological rigour is a dynamic combination that is life-changing.
The Hampshire Hub meets on a Monday evening between 6 and 10pm.
Deborah Chua is our Hub Director in Hampshire. She is married to Andrew and has three sons, two at university and one in his final year of school. Having lived overseas in Asia (India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia) for most of her married life, she moved back to the UK and both she and her husband completed the GradDip in 2017. Her background is in teaching French (and a bit of German) and she taught mainly in Hong Kong before having children.
She attends St Saviour’s church in Brockenhurst and loves singing, painting, cycling and walking her dog in the New Forest. She loves the Bible and was Teaching Director for Community Bible Study International in Hong Kong for a number of years and has led various housegroups over the years. Deborah and her husband have been involved in healing ministries and served on worship teams at London Community Church and Union Church in Hong Kong.
Accessibility: We use the first floor of the building the Hub meets in and there is currently no lift access. Should you have a disability that would mean this is problematic for you, please do get in touch so that we can make adequate provision on the ground floor.
