With: Lucy Peppiatt, Brad Jersak, and Bob Ekblad The goal of this online WTCLive! event is to think reflectively about Prophetic Ministry: What it means to be ‘prophetic’, and to consider ways that Christian ministry takes distinctive shape when engaged from a prophetic perspective. Brian Doerksen and Michael Gungor – Lament and Christian Worship

Posted March 18, 2014October 12, 2020 wtcadminPosted in WTCLive!

With: Brian Doerksen and Michael Gungor. Recently, musician Michael Gungor Tweeted this: “Approximately 70% of the Psalms are laments. Approximately 0% of the top 150 CCLI songs (songs most sung in churches) are laments.” In this WTCLive event we reflect with singer songwriter and worship leader Brian Doerksen on lament and Christian worship. Why has […]

With: Dave Landrum, John Stackhouse and David Gushee. The goal of this online WTCLive! event is to help Christians find their voice in the public spaces they inhabit. We need Christianity in the public sphere today – a mum’s group, a business, a school board, city council, a church, and so on – but also […]

Matt Lynch – Wrestling with Violence in the Bible

Posted November 13, 2013October 12, 2020 wtcadminPosted in WTCLive!

With: Lucy Peppiatt, Brad Jersak, Matt Lynch and Bob Ekblad. Violence in the Bible, and especially divinely authorisedΒ violence, is one of the most troublesome aspects of the Christian Scriptures. This is so not only for those outside the Church, but also for Christians. We don’t gain anything by pretending there aren’t realΒ challenges to hearing the […]

We have come to the end of our January Resi, and are feeling inspired by the teaching, worship, prayer and community that we have experienced.

Our Hub nights resume next week, and we're looking forward to all that is to come this term.

Look out for more details about our upcoming open days and taster events, as we open up our doors (or at least virtual doors) to anyone who is interested in studying with us next academic year.

Today is the final full day of teaching at our online Residential... And our students are full of brilliant theology by now! We are also remembering the events in the US in our classes today and praying. πŸ™ #resi2021jan
